Mission Statement - Our mission is to collect, catalog, house, restore, preserve, interpret and exhibit for the purposes of education and the enjoyment of all visitors, the historic significance, artifacts, and the natural history information within the Sumpter Valley and adjacent significant areas.
The Organization - The SVMA is a small but growing group of people who share the goal of preserving and interpreting our rich history in the Sumpter Valley and surrounding areas.
The SVMA Board of Directors is working prudently to make our Museum patron's visit interesting and educational. We try to culture "one-on-one" rapport between Museum staff and each one of our visitors. The SVMA Board will continue to seek Grant Funds for our projects.
Future plans call for several other diverse exhibits containing pertinent artifacts and historic photographs. Each new exhibit will have its unique environment created and constructed to give the strongest "sense of place".
